Elretur\u2019s highest authority is the board of directors.<\/p>\n

The board of directors is elected at Elretur\u2019s annual membership meeting, and consists of seven members.<\/p>\n

The founding organisations; APPLiA Denmark, the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) and the Danish Chamber of Commerce (DE) \u2013 each appoint a member to the board.<\/p>\n

The other four board members are elected by the member companies at Elretur\u2019s annual membership meeting. Member sections<\/h2>\n

Elretur\u2019s members are organised into sections corresponding to the product categories in the EU WEEE directive.<\/p>\n

A company is registered in one or more sections depending on the products it sells.<\/p>\n

Section managements are elected for each section during the annual membership meeting. The section management elect their own chairman and represent the section members\u2019 interests in relation to Elretur. The section management also determine the environmental contributions for the section. The contributions are approved by Elretur\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

Elretur\u2019s individual sections must be financially self-sufficient, and separate accounts are kept for each section.
